Background

Nageshwara Charitable Trust (NCT) is a non-profit organization registered on 26th October 1999 under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, with Registration No. E-1524 (NGP). Since its inception, the Trust has been working in underdeveloped rural and tribal areas across three states: Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

The Trust was founded by Late Shri S. Jambana Swami, Anand Ghule, H.M.B. Murthy, Prakash Kathale, and Mrs. Jyoti B. Murthy — individuals united by a shared vision and commitment to serve the marginalized sections of society. These founders have played active roles in guiding the organization toward new heights of service and impact.

The main objectives of the Trust include:

  • Generation of self-employment
  • Rural women empowerment
  • Tribal welfare
  • Farmers’ welfare
  • Natural resource management
  • Environmental protection
  • Health and sanitation

NCT works to achieve these goals through participatory community structures such as women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Farmers’ Clubs, Village Development Committees, Village Planning Committees, and Watershed Development Committees.
