I. NABARD Supported Projects
 
13 Awareness programmes for Financial Literacy: 
 

Awareness programmes for Financial Literacy: NABARD is working for financial literacy of rural households in India through various institutions. NABARDís Madhya Pradesh Regional office has sanctioned such programme to NCT during the year. NCT has organized 60 training and awareness programmes in Chhindwara and Seoni districts of Madhya Pradesh. Under the programme, 60 backward villages where banks have not reached were selected from each district. The rural households were provided with the information of importance of saving, bank account opening, bank loan etc.

The programmes were attended by NABARDís representatives from regional office, District Development Manager, Lead district Manager, Branch managers from various banks. NCT has supported over 4500 households in opening their saving bank accounts with various rural bank branches. The programme was a great success. Doordarsh, Bhopl has covered the training programme and telecasted the same. The Secretary of NCT was called for a live panel discussion of Financial Inclusion. At Bhopal during March 2012.
